Thanks. I forgot to mention that I'm using noscript, but even when I
disable it, I get the same error.

Here is my environment information:
Ubuntu 8.04 (i386)
Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.9) Gecko/2008061015 Firefox/3.0

I created two additional e-mail addresses, one with periods in it and 
another without periods. The address without periods succeeded in 
logging in whereas the one with periods failed, so I think that some 
part of the software has a problem with e-mail addresses containing 
periods. I happen to have a few in mine ;-)
