uploading key problems

i had some problms when i tried uploading my key

i have performed the step
gpg --send-keys --keyserver keyserver.ubuntu.com <KEY-ID>

then i have recieved a message in the terminal like this

gpg: sending key <mykey> to hkp server keyserver.ubuntu.com

i have not displayed here <mykey> for security reasons.

then i performed this step
gpg --export -a "Key-ID" > mykey.asc

the next step:  Copy the content of mykey.asc: 

now here is my problem. where is this mykey.asc. where is it located.
