bugs sent to resolved?

I have finally had a chance to go through my bug mail (bug spam??) and have
noticed a ton of fix released bugs with the same person responding over and
over with the same mis spelled English that the bugs have been fixed in the
new version of Ubuntu.

Are these bugs really fixed or are they being set that way to up someone's
karma?  Do we have to go back and reverify all of these bugs or what?
