I'm not convinced that this is the trouble. In the example which you
identified (regarding Rhythmbox) the English original had been split
into two strings; but that was probably an intentional change which
was done for a reason. We certainly haven't rewritten the
documentation so extensively that it would explain what you describe
as the documentation being "almost completely untranslated". I suspect
that the reason for that is that Launchpad doesn't automatically
import translations for a previous release, but rather shows them as
suggestions only. If you're not seeing suggestions either, then there
is definitely a problem which we should investigate further.
