[Patch] add-applications

Hi guys,

Does anyone have any objections to my applying this patch (attached)? I
sent it to the list a week or so ago. It takes into account some
feedback from mdke on a previous patch of mine. This is the layout of
add-applications after the patch is applied:

# . Packages, package managers and repositories
# . Adding and removing applications
# . Advanced package management
# . Installing a single package file
# . Problems when installing or removing software
