ubuntu server installation notes?

Hi all,
        The other day I tried to see if there was any tutorial or
something about installing ubuntu server but apparently there isn't.
There is a big possibility that i might not have been looking at the
right place but still. Can somebody point to some notes written about
installing ubuntu server. I have access to a spare machine where I can
install & play with ubuntu server. Any pointers would be much
appreciated.
