Kevin, welcome to the team.

I would refer you to the Kubuntu team for documentation, and invite you to
spend some time reading the wiki.ubuntu pages on documentation. There you
will find all the relevant information on pulling the current docs from
bazaar, as well as some docbook information, if I recall correctly.

I'm sure you will hear back from more veteran documentation experts after
the new year, and if possible, please join the #ubuntu-doc channel on
irc.freenode.net
