Hi Janos,

Try posting your question to the "Ubuntu user technical support, not for

In answer to your query, test your CD with the "Check the CD for
defects" boot option.  If that looks OK there may be an issue with the
Desktop CD working with the Video card in your PC so try the "Start
Ubuntu in safe graphics mode" boot option".  If still no joy you will
need to download and use the Alternate CD.
