The 'How can I do X that I use to do on Windows' angle should hopefully
be covered by the 'Applications' section we have planned.

Judging by the forum thread you linked to, maybe a
'Power-User/Administrator quick guide' would be a more appropriate
format for power users, rather than a detailed, step-by-step guide. Have
you considered starting a page on the wiki to cover this?
