How about something like that Wikipedia arrow & box, but in Ubuntu-ish
colours? Something like the orange/tan colour that's used in the header
graphics of most of the Ubuntu websites?

I also like Matthew's suggestion of putting the graphic to the right of the
link, rather than the left.
