Hi,

A big part of the wiki team's job should be to identify good howtos
which are posted on the forum howto section and integrate them into the
wiki. There is a lot of good material there that we can take advantage of.

I added this some time ago as a section on the WikiToDo page. If you are
interested in doing some of this, make sure that you get the author's
permission before/soon after you do so.

We have this section [1] which was intended to be an easy way for forum
members to contribute to the wiki, but I have to say I don't think it
has been working very well, and the best thing to do in my opinion is to
concentrate on making contributing to the wiki easy for everyone. With
this in mind the WikiGuide page should now be user friendly enough for
all to read and start contributing, and a few weeks ago I adjusted the
guide for forum users [2] accordingly.

So I think we can start getting rid of the forum section of the wiki (by
merging all the material into the body of the wiki), and encourage forum
members to contribute directly to the body of the wiki. What do others
think?

Matt
