Proposal to donate the writing of an ebook/book

I just purchased a book by No Starch Press called How Linux Works,
that I really like, and I'm probably going to buy The Debian System.
On topic, it seems like there's a need for three kinds of books
relating to a distribution:
I. Entry-user, how to use the standard programs, etc.
II. Administrative/advanced use of the system
III. How to develop using this system, what you should know about
I love the way No Starch makes their books, by the way, and it says on
their page for The Debian System that "$1 from each purchase will be
donated to the Debian Project", which could probably be higher if the
author(s) forego royalties. Not sure if No Starch will do GPL'd books,
but O'Reilly definitely does.
It might be possible to *commision* these books, if it looked like
there would be a return on value. Certainly, an official Ubuntu book
would be a great promotional tool.
