the wiki editing needs to be more user-friendly

Hi all,
This is my first post-so maybe called a noOb post. I want to
edit few wiki pages but find the whole experience frustrating.Lemme
explain :-
1. There is no toolbar for general formatting like to put code or to
bold or something like this unlike in wikipedia which is relatively
easy. This makes for a better user input. At some point the wiki needs
to have more images while explaining concepts as it's right now pretty dry!
2. As I understand there is a concept of ownership of pages. So one guy
more or less does one page or something. This is appreciable but let's
say I have some info. which I want to bring to whoever has been running
that page/add or improve or whatever there should be a way to talk or
atleast send the mail to the other person once you're logged in. I see
the author's name at the end of the page but no way to connect with him.
3. The categorization of stuff is a mess. On the front page of the wiki
there are no. of links given to different subjects but not an option of
some kind of static or dynamic tree-view. This would help in
getting/searching things much better.
I'm sure all of this is in your
to-do page just would urge u guys to get u'r leg up. If u guys make it
easier for people to enter things then people would enter things. The
lesser I have to think about formatting & stuff the more I can
concentrate on writing stuff on things. I'm sure it's the same for all
people. If there are any links/calendar when we can see some usability
advances lemme know, would be eager to check out & chip in. Till then
it's lights out.
