Ubuntu Book

Hmmm.
There's no point anyone duplicating anyone else's work. What kind of
audience is the official Ubuntu book aimed at? Would a project along
the lines of my sample chapter, meant for beginners, be duplicative? If
so, I would be happier to turn my attention elsewhere in the project.
If, on the other hand, there is room for both, would Ubuntu and/or
Canonical have an interest in being involved, or would it have to be a
strictly extramural undertaking?
