Please file bugs at the correct component...
And don't confirm your own bugs, that is against the purpose of that option...

Try to login in console mode and delete the files ~/.Xauthority and
~/.ICEauthority. Also clean out /tmp (rm -rf /tmp/* as normal user) and check
whether the loopback interface is up (ifconfig should show the 'lo' interface)
