If you would like to help work on the documentation, then a good place to 
start is http://wiki.ubuntu.com/DocumentationTeam and all the pages it takes 
you to, especially https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DocteamStepByStepRepository . 
After you've had a look at that stuff, you can get help in our irc channel 
at freenode: #ubuntu-doc, we'll help you out!! 

If on the other hand you would like to help on the newsletter, I suggest 
that you email the guy who mentioned it on this thread, and it would also be 
super cool if you could all organise the activities using this list!
