Hello George,
Technically a vendor drop will enable the team to keep updated with upstream
changes and make changes in the upstream docs, passing patches back upstream.
The only real problem here is:
0. somebody will have to have two checkouts of GDP docs and merge changes from
the upstream drop and the version in vendor/gnome
1. At gnome docs are not in a single place, so somebody will have to go around
GNOME CVS and gather the upstream. It would have to be a "labor of love"
because, as you can imagine, GNOME CVS is big.
2. ppl working on gnome docs would have to checkout vendor/gnome
3. ppl would have to be very exact about what they want to XInclude/XPointer
into the ubuntu-docs
Other than that, piece of cake, providing that people make a team decision to
adopt the above methods ;-)
