Yeah, this is the kind of thing I would like too. For instance, I
would like to be able to see where "udev" fits in, or: there's a bug
in Dapper that causes the "Applications" menu to not open; killing
gamin-server fixes it, of course. At least some of this could be done
through inferences from the repositories; most of it would involve
research and in some cases archeology.
But yeah, Linux informatics. This is more on the level of developer
documentation, but it seems like the sort of thing that developers
might appreciate but wouldn't be able to justify spending time on
themselves.
