Sorting out front page

Was planing on having a go on the front page tomorrow.  Was not going to
change the actual front page, I was going to make a copy - put it up and
see what people think.

It would be really useful for me to see what the page used to look like
before the big set of structural changes were done.  I was going to look
at the old and current and cherry pick.
