#ubuntu-doc report for 2004-12-28

* svn access for froud

froud has now svn commit access!  

As a side effect of this, the repository has now a proper structure,
with the quick guide and the user's guide being in two separate
directories and other nice improvements that you can find described
here: https://bugzilla.ubuntu.com/show_bug.cgi?id=5016

The User's Guide is also declaring DocBook 4.3 instead of 4.1.2 to see
what happens, and the index page of the User's Guide now displays a nice
Ubuntu icon.

There is also a global.ent file with global entities for use by all the
documents in the repository.


* DocBook informations

ChrisH offered Froud to review the wiki pages about DocBook that he
wrote:

Froud will have a look, and threw in a link to a very nice article he
wrote:

* Lots of activity!

The repository heats up again!  Froud, Hornbeck, ChrisH and Sivan made a
lot of commits!


* What is faqguide?

Froud asked what is in the faqguide/ directory.  

Sivan answered: there is a faq-looking guide in www.ubuntuguide.org,
made by Chua Wen Kiat.  Sivan wondered if faqguide is that guide
imported to docbook, as he knows plovs has been doing some work on it.
