When Ubuntu Studio 18.04 was released, it was determined that it should not be
a Long-Term Support release due to the lack of team and experience of new
people adding to the project. As such, support ended in January 2019.
However, the new team created an Ubuntu Studio Backports PPA to attempt to
help with at least some support for the 18.04 release, which was based on
Ubuntu 18.04 LTS. With that, we gave those who relied on 18.04 a life boat
until 20.04 LTS could be released, which happened just over a year ago. At
that time, users of 18.04 were encouraged to upgrade, and packages for 18.04
in the Ubuntu Studio Backports PPA were frozen.
As of today, all 18.04 packages in the Ubuntu Studio Backports PPA have been
removed. If you have not done so, please upgrade to 20.04 LTS as soon as
possible.
