Sure, but isn't the mini iso just netinst by another name ( that also
is often confusing in a different way; people seem to think it will
give them an install that uses less disk space ).

We haven't already added UEFI support to it? That seems like
something we really should do. I was proposing forking it in two as
it would be easier to maintain and/or require less testing for that
than a fork of the regular desktop cd, and whether fully supported or
not, would be *something* for people with broken bios to fall back to,
and last I heard from Colin, their number was not *that* small that we
could throw them overboard.
