I disagree, the current cadence (along with the current support
periods and the current SRU process) is totally unsustainable.

There is a *ton* of effort currently being put into supporting totally
irrelevant interim releases.

Staying at a six-month cadence is already one of the options, but the
proposal greatly reduces maintenance burden by reducing support
periods for interim releases. This allows most people to continue on
with their happy status quo, while reducing the obligatory SRU
nightmare for releases that nobody uses.

Although I feel quite strongly about my support for the rolling
release model, if it is rejected, we can't continue as we used to. We
simply do not have the resources to support more than two releases at
a time. I'd prefer to only have to support LTS+rolling, but LTS+"one
interim at a time" would be an acceptable second best.
