That's too bad, because if you think about it, the whole idea of source
packaging branches in a dvcs could be a great win for Debian and all its
derivatives.  The fact that you can do a lot of Debian development using the
debianlp: branches on Launchpad shows, I think, that a generic package
importer could work across distros.  And certainly development of such a tool
would benefit from a wider pool of developers.
