That's just a bug.  You need this patch (which only hit mainline
yesterday):

It's a driver-specific implementation thing.  There isn't really any
work we need to do, it'll become available next time we update to newest
X.org bits.

Unless someone from the community is interested in doing work in this
area, I don't think we need UDS discussion on this.
