I felt that it would have some not-obviously-desirable security
properties to non-interactively register any nodes that happen to
advertise themselves on the local network, and so avoided this; I
remember that being the consensus in Dublin as well. If we want to make
the process smoother than a command-line tool, I think it probably needs
to go into the web interface rather than being made wholly
non-interactive.
