This process is now automated. The code to build it currently lives
here[1]:

   http://code.launchpad.net/~soren/+junk/mediawiki-appliance-build

The resulting ubuntu-xen/root.img file is the image you want to bundle
for UEC. For your convenience, you can download it here:

  http://people.canonical.com/~soren/uec-mediawiki-appliance.img.tar.gz

The wiki will be available at

  http://<instance ip>/mediawiki/

The admin user/pasword combo is WikiSysop/demo. The wiki is completely
set up once you start the appliance. No extra configuration is
needed/possible.

Moving it to http://<instance ip>/ instead of http://<instance ip>/mediawiki/
is still to be done (or an appropriate redirect needs to be put in
place). If someone has done this before, feel free to share
experiences and/or configuration snippets.

We expect this appliance to be available in the appliance store in UEC
around the time of the Ubuntu release candidate coming out.

[1]: This is not nearly as stream-lined as I want it to be. I have a
bunch of VMBuilder improvement that will help substantially that I'll be
filing later today, and hopefully fixing early in the Lucid cycle.
