Tested 20091008.1 this morning, which includes the autoregistration
fixes I committed and several fixes Dustin, Mathias and Dan committed
yesterday.

Autoregistration succeeds and happens at the right time now.
Basic instance run testing works flawlessly.

I'll be scrubbing the buglist and confirming the issues that were found
so far, and try to stress the setup a little to find new ones.
