If it needs to end up in euca2ools, we'll need a FFe to cover this.
euca2ools aims at ec2-* compatibility so it might not be the best place
to put it.
I think we could use a new "uectools" package that generally builds on
euca2ools to provide higher level abstractions, like our
ubuntu-dev-tools package. For example, bundling an UEC EMI from the
stuff we publish right now takes 9 commands. If we include
resize-uec-image, that makes 10. And I'm pretty sure we can come up with
other useful scripts to make the life of UEC users and UEC admins better.
If its not a good idea to add a package to karmic right now, then I'd
recommend a LP project to have all the scripts under revision control +
potentially a PPA to make them easier to install. Once we get a
reasonable collection of scripts, then we can add the package to Lucid ?
