For Network connections (namelly wifi, vpns, modems (adsl,...)) Network Manager is currently able to login to networks without even an user session. I know it works... I just dont know where it stores the password (and how) when system connections (or Available to All Users, as it is now called) is enabled. But certainly its not my keyring since I never provided its password (and mine is not the same of my login, and I do use autologin).
