Static Path?

I am having an issue installing from a CD. I am getting several errors and in the logs it looks like the destination is hard coded to a local drive?
 
Here is the piece of the log:

Exception: Cannot download the metalink and therefore the ISO
 
 
Not to point any fingers, but is Evan part of this list  ;)
 
Any help is greatly appreciated!
