Portable Ubuntu

I came across this review on lifehacker:

http://feeds.gawker.com/~r/lifehacker/full/~3/c7LVd0Z433k/portable-ubuntu-runs-ubuntu-inside-windows

and then read http://portableubuntu.sourceforge.net says:

"Portable Ubuntu for Windows is a Ubuntu system running as a Windows
application.

This system is built with the Colinux Kernel, Xming X server and Pulseaudio
server for Windows."

I haven't tried it, but it sounds like a pretty smooth experience for
Windows users, with an application-like installation and no rebooting. It
seems similar to a VM experience, but instead of standalone virtualization
software, it uses cooperative drivers for the host.

Is anyone interested in a closer look? It seems like a lot of moving parts
and may not be suitable for integration, but seems a very interesting
experiment.
