And speaking of which, it's been brought to my attention that the Dirac
codec isn't supported in main, despite being one of the relatively few
video formats believed to be unencumbered by patents:

The BBC invented this codec, and it seems likely that we'll soon have a
respectable amount of video available through Totem using it. It would
be lovely to be able to play this out of the box (there are still some
questions about container formats, but those can be dealt with
separately).

Given this, can we promote the Schroedinger implementation of Dirac to
main and put it in the default Ubuntu desktop? This would require
promoting gstreamer0.10-schroedinger and libschroedinger-1.0-0, which
weigh in at a whopping 223 KB of .deb size combined. Seems like a pretty
small price to pay to promote free video formats.

Thanks,
