Even if we got them down to 5MB apiece, that's still 4 flavors for a total
of 20MB on the CDs. That's more space than we currently have to spare, and
from past experience I don't think it would be a good idea to leave
ourselves with no buffer for package growth between now and the release.
I imagine that if you were using lzma to compress all 4 flavors /together/
in a single .deb, we'd get really great space savings, but that doesn't seem
to be an option. :)
The other alternative is to try to pick and choose which nvidia revisions
will be supported on the CD, and which ones require additional downloads
from the archive. I don't think the effort involved is justifiable.
