I talked to their opensync packager today again, and they are mostly
using kitchensync as GUI, plus opensync-0.22. I never personally tried
kitchensync and do not know about its status in hardy right now.
The main problem they have with kitchensync is that it fails when kdepim
is running, so users have to close it. Kind of annoying.
They also integrated synce (Windows Mobile) and barry (Bluebarry)
hardware support. The nice thing is that at least synce doesn't need
any configuration from the opensync side, so even multisync-gui is
bearable, as you just have to select whether you want to sync with GNOME
(evolution) or Kde (kdepim), and do not get presented with the
in-multisync-gui XML "editor" to tune your config, as is the case
currently with irmc, palm etc. (the evolution or kdepim plugins do not
need configuration for the usual cases as well).
