The quality of the sound is good. I am talking about the mixer controls. 2
different things.

dunno. I have the latest MacBook (v2). I know v1 has been supported for a long
time (even feisty) but i can't verify it.

It depends from what version of the MacBook you have. v1 has been working for a
while. v2 seems not.
