This change drops all the previous Ubuntu changelog entries, and also
doesn't fit the usual pattern for Ubuntu merges from Debian, which is
something like this:

  * Resynchronise with Debian. Remaining changes:
    - foo
    - bar
    - baz

The exact form of the changelog is relatively minor, although your
change is confusing because it looks like you made all these changes in
1:7.3+4ubuntu1 whereas in fact most (?) of them are carried over from
previous versions. However, dropping the old changelog entries is
definitely unacceptable because it makes it more difficult to quickly
look back through the Ubuntu changelog to find out when a change was
made: instead one has to dig through revision control systems,
Launchpad, etc. (We allow this for syncs for reasons of practicality,
but not otherwise.) Please restore the old changelog entries.

Thanks,
