Hello

The modesetting is already in Feisty:

Paquete: xserver-xorg-video-i810-modesetting
Versión: 1.6.5.git20061014.ac1-1ubuntu4
Prioridad: opcional
Sección: universe/x11

However, there seem to be a little problem with the dependencies when
installing it (Bug #80417).

Personally, I prefer the modesetting option rather than have to install
810resolution package, and configure it.

However, I've tried the two options on my laptop (acer aspire
1642zwlmi), and the issue I had with 810resolution (the screen was
really ugly, compared with the normal configuration) was also with the
modesetting driver (on a clean install). I should try the git of xorg,
maybe works fine now.

But I hope to see it as the default driver someday.

Best regards
Emilio
