i can confirm that this is fixed, but i found a way worse bug very late
in the testing that might bite us all on the amd64 CDs ... the
linux-image package was renamed there to linux-image-generic, we provide
a transitional linux-image-amd64-generic package for upgrades which is
not on the beta CDs so upgrading via CD might become problematic for
amd64 users.filed as bug #62817
