How long will 64bit Ubuntu users have to wait?

I'm not a developer per-se but as someone who is an integrator
(essentially) I use it every day and support a platform that runs on
over 100 desktop amd64 machines.
Sticking points mostly are acrobat and firefox (flash, mostly), which we
end up locally maintaining on an automounted nfs share as 32 bit
binaries. evince has come a long way and has mostly made acrobat not
completely needed (I don't think evince does fill-in forms).
Otherwise things mostly run correctly for us, and our users definitely
do want 64 bit native for the performance gains -- they make a huge
difference at times.
Thanks,
