No more 686 and smp optimized kernels?

OK I got a message from a friend offlist pointing out that my comments
about not finding enough help on some channels/lists are potentially
insulting to the knowledgeable people who do participate there.

In this case, I tender an unconditional public apology to any and all
that my statements may have insulted. Perhaps I should have been more
careful with my words.
