How long will 64bit Ubuntu users have to wait?

Yes, but I'm interested in what you as a Ubuntu developer think, because 
industry analysts dont develop for Ubuntu and have very little top do with 
deciding when to give the 64bit version more attention.

One of the reason I asked that is because there is a sticky in the 64bit 
section of the forums. The users have listed what is conciderd by users to 
be the key missing things. Are the developers aware of this sticky? Maybe 
multiarch isnt in the plans for a few versions yet, if at all. Is it 
possible to get those applications if we cant have multiarch? I dont really 
see newbies doing some of the things required to install some of the stuff.
