CD image size recovery suggestions

SPeaking of 'what the hell is this' the whole mc overtaking view over 
nvi and vi was a great example of hardcore unix users asking wtf and 
bring back classic vi view.

I think its since been fixed in debian, but yes, its required here to 
work essentially much like unix has in the past for essential commands.
