Ubuntu becomes unusable - force fsck when needed

While people discuss relative merits of different file systems, I would 
like to remind everyone, that a lot of linux users have windows 
installed on their systems and dual boot between the two systems. I am 
one of such people, since i like to shoot a few monsters once in a 
while. And AFAIK ext[23] file systems are the only ones accessible from 
windows (using ext2 IFS or similar programs). So, if the default file 
system is changed there will be no way for windows users to access their 
files from Windows.
