Really?  I find this odd.  Did you install the root to these disks?  I 
haven't worked on it in a few months but I had been working on support 
for this and as far as I know, I was the only one doing so, and I did 
not get automatic support for this done.  I only got as far as a working 
dmraid package that when installed would enable access to these drives, 
but is not included in the setup cd so you can't install normally to them.

I am pretty sure that evms does not handle dmraid, only LVM and MD.
