Pop ups don't seem right, and the device manager seems a lot of clicks
away for an immediate problem -- wouldn't it be better to tell people
about potential problems during the install process? ie, before any
data is written to disk, the user should be given a screen listing
their detected hardware, with anything problematic having an
appropriate icon next to it (eg, one for "this hardware doesn't work",
"this hardware will have problems", "this hardware will work, but you
might like to know about...", etc)
