Matt's point is that if you don't enforce your trademark, you lose the
ability to win lawsuits in the future.  This has probably happened to
`Apache'.

No-one from Apache has approached Ubuntu or Debian to say `please stop
making unapproved changes'.  If they did we would take the same
approach: rename it.
