We do enable gfxboot by default on our alternate CD.

Make sure you've unpacked
/usr/share/gfxboot-theme-ubuntu/bootlogo.tar.gz into /isolinux/ on the
CD image, and make sure that "GFXBOOT bootlogo" is in your isolinux.cfg.
