Hello,
Full harddisk encryption with dm_crypt, cryptsetup & LUKS works fine under
Ubuntu 6.10.
(As described in https://help.ubuntu.com/community/EncryptedFilesystemHowto2
)
However, the installation process is everything but userfriendly. Wouldn't
it be a good idea to add a new option to the disk partitioning menu in the
Ubuntu installation process?
Full disk encryption is an important security feature, especially for mobile
devices. I am quite surprised why no Linux distribution is offering this yet
as a default installation option. Surely this would be benefical for Ubuntu.
What's your opinion?
Regards, securido
