Desktop bling

Here's a workaround. I've discovered that if I keep the panel on the
upper part of the screen, my windows will not cover it. I'm having
issues when changing workspace, 'cause maximized windows get larger than
the desktop, so a window can be in two workspaces, even if maximized.
